The question I offten hear from expecting mothers that are preparing for their maternity photo session is "What Do I Wear!?".
It really depends on what look you are going for, if you will be indoors or outdoors or maybe even both. Will your shoot be a gender reveal? Will the father of the baby be in the photos as well?
Once you've established the above questions, it's time to get down brass tacks.
Start with the picture below. Remember you want timeless photos. Leave the total matchy outfits in the 90's. It's all about coordinating not matching in 2014!
If he's in a plaid/pattern shirt, be sure you are in a solids. It's ok to have a POP of color, just make sure you aren't clashing with each other and no one is out doing the other. Stick to the same color family and don't be using neutral colors as your base. Your outfit choices should reflect you, the better you.
Don't be afraid to dress in tighter clothes to show off your beautiful pregnant belly. Avoid stripes if possible and low v-neck shirts. Pick a light color flowing shirt and add a pop of color with your top.
If you have additional questions or need help prepping for your maternity shoot, let me know. I make house calls too - I can help you pick out the perfect outfits for your next photo shoot.
Have a blessed day,
